Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that range is broad.
What You Trade On
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Having both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should be part of your assessment.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.
The Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
